Policy regarding Generative AI

With the rise of the use of generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) for the purpose of theft (“generating”) written content, video content, audio content and about anything else that you can imagine in the near future; I felt it prudent to provide a policy regarding Generative AI.

  1. You will not see Generative AI produced photos of myself or others from this ministry.

  2. You will never see Generative AI produced video (A-roll or B-roll) from this ministry.

  3. You will never hear Generative AI produced audio from this ministry.

  4. You will never read Generative AI produced writing from this ministry.

  5. Generative AI will never be used in the creative process of any audio, video or written content. This means that no outlines, scripts, articles, emails (and other correspondence) will be generated by AI. This also means that there will be absolutely no use of deepfake technology, audio cloning technology and AI Generated photos for the purpose of producing content.

One Exception (for the purpose of critique):

The only exception to seeing, hearing or reading any AI generated content from this ministry will be when it is interacted with for the purpose of critique. Any content that is being critiqued that includes AI generated content (that I am aware of) will be marked with a clear disclaimer. The disclaimer will make it abundantly clear that the critiqued content is AI generated.

All content that I produce is generated from my own brain with the help of the Holy Spirit!

On sophisticated theft that Generative AI produces

Generative-AI is a technology that steals from productions that humans have worked extremely hard to create. GenAI consumes this human content (what is referred to as “training”) and regurgitates it and synthesis it with other human content. No credit is given to the human(s) that were stolen from. Generative AI is plagiarism. It is the most sophisticated form of theft that has ever existed in the history of mankind.

On theft of Likeness

Generative-AI is capable of copying images and video frames. It then takes that data and uses the human likeness as it pleases. It is made available to any user to facilitate in theft of likeness and deception by making a person appear to say or do things that they have never done. Whether done in jest or with malicious intent, this is pure deception and theft. It is a clear violation of biblical commandments to not steal, speak truthfully and live with integrity.

“Thou shalt not steal.” (Exodus 20:15 KJV)

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight."“ (Proverbs 12:22 NKJV)

“He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.” (Proverbs 10:9 NKJV)
